Wind power and solar-energy feed-in of electricity in Germany 2013

Based on the time series by Paul-Frederik Bach this illustration show the combined power generation from wind (dark grey) and sun (light gray) for the entire year 2013 (hourly values) in Germany. About 77 terawatt hours of electricity were generated by wind and sun. The total demand for electricity in Germany was around 600 terawatt hours in 2013. (highres download, 67 megapixel)

Wind power feed-in of electricity in Germany 2013

Wind power production in Germany in 2013. The installed capacity is about 32,000 megawatts. Electricity production in fall and winter months is significantly higher than in summer. The highest feed-in of wind power was 26,000 MW on 05 December 2013. The annual electricity production was around 47 terawatt hours. (highres download, 67 megapixel)

Solar power feed-in of electricity in Germany 2013

Solar electricity production in Germany in 2013. The installed capacity is about 35,000 megawatts. The power output reached  its peak during the summer months. But also in the transition period high power infeed up to 20,000 megawatts can be achieved. The highest feed-in of solar power was 24,000 megawatts on 21 July 2013. The annual electricity production was around 30 terawatt hours. (highres download, 67 megapixel)
